The Australian Marine Complex (AMC) has been developed to facilitate and enhance the opportunities created by the clustering of the shipbuilding and marine-related, defence and resources industries.
LandCorp commissioned TPG to prepare a Structure Plan for the Technology Precinct involving an area of 49 hectares in Henderson. The project had to accommodate major environmental issues, existing landowners and very tight land development timeframes. A number of high profile defense suppliers have since begun development on the site. The structure plan ensures the creation of an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable precinct that has minimal adverse impacts on the adjacent Lake Coogee and associated wetlands. The project has received structure plan approval and subdivision approval with works commenced on site to transform an area previously used for market gardening into a research and development technology precinct. |
