Following on from the successful Woodbridge Lakes residential development incorporating the historic Coal Dam and surrounding parklands, planning for the adjacent Workshops Village is nearing completion with an application for subdivision being referred out for advertising.
The Workshops Village, which comprises the main portion of the former Midland Railway Workshops site and includes several historic buildings and spaces including the three large rail sheds, will be the centrepiece of the redevelopment project and will comprise new single residential and apartment development fronting the Helena River and new open spaces with the existing heritage building adapted to accommodate a variety of cultural and commercial activities. |
