Wungong Urban Water Project
Client: Armadale Redevelopment Authority

The Wungong Project is part of the Armadale Redevelopment Authority Scheme Area. The Master Plan will accommodate approximately 40,000 people on 1500ha of land, west of Armadale, over the next 15-20 years. The fundamental difference between Wungong and many other projects is that the Armadale Redevelopment Authority can focus on the best outcomes, and shape policy to fit these, rather than starting by focusing on policy compliance.

This flexibility is something developers will be encouraged to work with, enabling developers to expand on the foundation established by the ARA. All phases of the project are being undertaken through a collaborative planning process managed by the CSIRO and the Armadale Redevelopment Authority.

TPG, as the principle urban designer, is consolidating input from the consultant team members, project advisory groups, landowners and other key stakeholders, into a Master Plan for the area. TPG project work also includes the development of Local Area Implementation Plans for Sustainability (LAIPS), public consultation and preparation of the Scheme Amendment.
